Clubhouse Hire

Southampton Sailing Club's clubhouse is now available for private hire.

Located on the waterfront in Southampton, our clubhouse provides a flexible venue for private functions, meetings, celebrations and other suitable events.

The clubhouse can accommodate up to 70 people and includes access to the main clubroom and associated facilities.

Submitting a booking request does not automatically confirm your booking. We will review your request and contact you to confirm availability and the next steps.

What Can the Clubhouse Be Hired For?

The clubhouse may be suitable for a range of events, including:

Birthday parties and celebrations
Meetings and presentations
Club, group and association meetings
Small private functions
Training sessions
Community and social events

All bookings are subject to approval by Southampton Sailing Club.

Bar and Alcohol

Arrangements regarding the bar and the sale or provision of alcohol will depend on the type of booking and must be agreed with the club in advance.

Please provide as much information as possible about your event when completing the booking request form so that we can confirm what arrangements are available.

All clubhouse bookings are subject to our Clubhouse Hire Booking Terms and Conditions.

By proceeding with a confirmed booking, you will be agreeing to comply with the applicable booking terms and any additional conditions confirmed by the club.

Availability and Confirmation

Availability shown or discussed before booking is provisional until your booking has been formally confirmed by Southampton Sailing Club.

Please do not make arrangements based on use of the clubhouse until you have received confirmation from us.

Hire Costs

Our standard public evening hire is £271, covering use of the clubhouse from 6:00 pm to midnight, bar staffing, cleaning and the required Temporary Event Notice (TEN).

This is broken down as follows; Clubhouse hire £150 / Cleaning fee £50 / Bar staffing £50 / Temporary Event Notice (TEN) £21

Southampton Sailing Club members receive the £150 clubhouse hire fee free of charge, reducing the total cost to £121.

A £150 refundable damage deposit is also required and will be returned after the event, subject to the clubhouse being left in an acceptable condition with no damage.
