Recreational Sails

Recreational sailing sessions give members the chance to get on the water in a relaxed setting, usually on suitable Wednesday evenings during the warmer months.

Who can take part?

These sessions are aimed at members who want to practise dinghy sailing, sail with other members or spend time on Southampton Water without the structure of a race. Club dinghies may be available, depending on demand and conditions.

Helms should normally hold RYA Dinghy Level 2 or have equivalent experience. Members who would like to crew are welcome, but should arrange this in advance through the club WhatsApp group or by speaking to other members at a Wednesday evening social.
