Southampton Sailing Club runs a programme of racing for members during the sailing season.

At a glance

Why race?

Racing is a good way to improve boat handling, learn from other sailors and take part in organised sailing with a clear format. Members do not need to be expert racers to get involved.

Race information

The programme may include club races, race series and occasional events with other local clubs. Sailing instructions, notices of race, risk assessments and results are available in the Racing section of the website.

If you are interested in racing but do not have a boat, you may be able to arrange a crewing opportunity by speaking to members at the club or using the club WhatsApp group.
